On PC you are positioning and rotating blocks above the grid before they start falling to try and trap + smush the VR player. In VR, you're using archery to teleport to fallen blocks. Your goal in VR is to dodge falling blocks and get to the top of the grid. Both players have an "aimed" and "instant" active skill they choose before the game begins. On launch there will be 16 possible combinations of skills per player. The skills range in use-cases from super-aggressive stuff like shooting an orbital laser at the VR player to strategic&tricky stuff like making a clone of yourself in VR that teleports whenever you do. Difficulty is based on song BPM. The faster the song, the faster blocks spawn and fall. We'll have 8 hand-crafted tracks on launch, two for each difficulty.

Fight or Flight is still in development and will soon be released in early access on Steam and the Oculus store. This video shows off the current state of the game. I am now in the process of refining the level design and combat mechanics, adding new enemies, a progression system, and new challenges to the game. After this, I will add RTS elements and release the full version of the game. Game Description: Fight or Flight is a skill based first person shooter set in beautiful and dangerous alien worlds, made exclusively for PC VR. You will walk, sprint, and use a jet pack to fly in open world environments. Fight or Flight places an emphasis on physics based gameplay, adding complexity to the movement and combat mechanics. FOF offers great replay value. In Fight or Flight, you will need energy to survive. You can collect energy from crystals and shards which grow in the environment. The landscape is crawling with hostile creatures who will surround and hunt you in groups, while others can teleport to evade your bullets and appear behind you. You will hone your environmental awareness and make the correct split second decisions to ensure your survival. You will evade shadows cast by mountains, and survive total darkness caused by regularly occurring solar eclipses. You will watch the movement of the sun to anticipate the timing of the next eclipse. You will rely on your hearing and flashlights to survive darkness. You are armed with swords, guns, grenades, a rocket launcher, and flashlights. Your rocket launcher allows you to alter the trajectory of your missiles with hand movements, enabling you to skillfully hit moving targets from any angle. You will use your jet pack to escape from danger, give you have enough energy to fly. You will use Jump gates to quickly travel great distances across islands on an endless alien ocean. You will fight or fly to survive!
